This article explains the concept of pricing tables and describes all the steps involved in creating and editing such tables.
Where can I find this option? → Left side menu → Pricing table Remember that this tab will only be visible if you have contracted the Full CRM module and if you have activated the Price Table permissions.
What is a pricing table?
Price tables are an essential module that allows you to establish and manage in a structured way the prices associated with the commercial sales of a photovoltaic installation. Through these tables, the costs of the products and services involved are defined for each of the kits or power ranges defined, which facilitates the creation of precise and personalized budgets for each project in an automatic way.
In the pricing table section, there is a "Create pricing table" button. Clicking on it opens a wizard with the different steps to follow.
The user must enter the general data, a name for the price table and the opportunity flows to which the table corresponds, and choose between configuring the price table by kits or by power ranges.
The names of the price tables cannot be duplicated.
By kits
If you choose to configure by kits , you choose the minimum number of panels desired for each kit, as well as the maximum number and increment of units between kits. If none of these options are suitable, you can customize the configuration. This choice takes the user to a window where they are asked to specify how many kits they want to include in the pricing table. For each kit selected, an input field is displayed where you must enter the corresponding number of panels. Once the kits are customized, they are displayed labeled within the general data window. From there, the user can delete unwanted kits, edit them (which will take them back to the previous screen), or cancel to return to the main inputs for selecting minimum and maximum panels.
By power ranges:
If the user chooses the range option, the operation will be the same, but instead of specifying the number of modules in each kit, the range corresponding to a minimum power interval to a maximum installation power will be specified. All the data on this screen will be mandatory before moving on to the next step.
Inverter Configuration
You can choose to configure the inverters for all kits/ranges manually or let the tool select the most optimal ones.
If you choose to have the tool propose inverters , first, by default, the DC/AC ratios appear pre-filled, although you can change them according to your preference. Then, you will select a manufacturer and, within the manufacturer, whether you want to work with single-phase, three-phase inverters, or both. With this, the tool will give you a list of all the products for this manufacturer and this selected connection type, and you will be able to deselect those models that you do not want to work with.
In the next window, the tool suggests possible combinations of the selected inverters, based on the DC/AC ratio and the nominal power of the inverters in the solution. We can choose one of these solutions or, if none of the options is suitable, we can choose to add inverters manually.
A color chart has been implemented to make it easier for the user to identify the status of the inverters in each kit.
- Kits/ranges with too low power are shown in grey.
- Kits/ranges that do not have an optimal configuration or have not been manually configured are highlighted in red.
- In yellow, those kits/ranges whose DC/AC ratio is not sufficient are highlighted.
- Kits/ranges with optimal inverter configurations are indicated in green.
The color criteria follows the same one used to obtain the DC/AC ratios within the selection of inverters in the Quoting Tool. If you select "edit" , the option to add or remove as many inverters as you want, or edit existing ones, opens.
If you choose to add the inverters manually , the " add configuration " option appears under each kit/range, having to do it one by one. The functionality to add is the same as the one seen previously when editing. Once added, the "edit" button that was to the right of each range/kit appears, and the " add configuration " button disappears.
It is possible to create price tables without inverters. However, if no inverters are associated, the price table will appear as invalid. The validity of a price table can be checked in the price tables overview. If a price table is invalid, it cannot be used in the Quoting Tool or the Commercial Simulator.
Add products
The user is shown a window with two inputs: Product Category and Product. If nothing is to be added, the user can continue by clicking on the " Next " button. If the user adds the product directly, it appears in the corresponding category section. The user can select the desired units and which kits/ranges they wish to add it to. Once the configuration has been saved, the product list is displayed. To make edits, the "Edit " button must be pressed .
In the event that you try to add a battery to the price table, and the system is configured to automatically calculate the battery, before adding it to the price table, the system will notify you that the battery should not be added.
VAT, Margin and Deviations and BOS
For each kit/range created, a list of all of them is displayed, along with their corresponding VAT, margin and deviation inputs for each one. The value of the input can be copied to all the following kits/ranges using the arrow icon located to the right of each input.
In addition, in this section you can add BOS (Balance of System) elements, which refer to services or products not added to the Platform. For these elements, a name, a quantity and a price (price per power) are defined for each range.
Checks
This configuration section is required if the Commercial Simulator is contracted.
The check section refers to specific products that may or may not be included in the offer. To configure these checks, a specific product from the platform is selected, and it is determined whether it is activated or not, along with its quantity for each range. If a check is activated, it means the product will be added to the offer; otherwise, it will appear in the options of the Commercial Simulator for the structure type and material type.
Tags are used to identify which pricing table to use based on the predefined flow of the web simulator or the client creation wizard. The actions available for each tag are " assign to pricing table " and " unassign from pricing table " . A pricing table can have multiple tags, but a tag cannot have multiple pricing tables assigned to it.
The user cannot create, edit, or delete the labels, as they are predefined by Ezzing
If a label does not have an active price table associated with it, the simulator or customer wizard will stop working for that label's flow.
Creating a Price Table Using an Excel Spreadsheet
It is possible to create a table using an Excel file, the template of which can be downloaded from the “Download template” platform and, after filling it out, imported back to the “Import” platform. Before downloading the template, it is necessary to select the desired criterion (by kits or by power ranges) and fill in the corresponding information.
Editing the price table is possible on the platform through the Wizard, but the tables cannot be edited via an Excel file.
