Work area

Work area

On this screen we will choose the basic information to start the project. We will be able to define things like the modules we will use, the exact roof we are going to work on in the map or generate a map if we consider it necessary.

Where can I find this section? Quoting Tool Tabs on the top right
Please note that this tab will only be visible if you have Quoting Tool group permissions enabled.

Within this screen we can find the following tabs on the right side:

Project information.

In this section we will see the most basic data:
- Supplier: This is the supplier of the image.

- Module model: From here we can modify the type of module we want to use in the installation, regardless of the price table. By default, the one included in the previously selected price table will always appear.

If we want to change the price table of an offer we must do so from the BOM, but the modules will not change. To modify them, we must return to this screen (Workspace) and modify them from here.
Depending on the module we have chosen, they will have certain measurements to determine the number of modules that fit on a roof.

Workspace Limit

This step is not mandatory. It is used to download a part of the map (defined by the map zoom) in the quality we select (low, medium or high). We must take into account that depending on the selected quality it will take more or less time to load.

This section is very useful if we do not want the map to load all the time as this can make it take longer to load and the process slower.
Warning. We must bear in mind that if we load a map that is too small and later we want to create the 3D image of the project, it is very likely that part of the map will be blank. This happens because we have only downloaded a part of the map that we see and it is not loaded again. If this happens we must return to this tab and generate a new, larger map.

General symbols

We must keep in mind that we will have the next symbols present throughout the entire installation design process, not only in the "workspace" tab.

1) With the first symbol we will expand the design box, that is, we will put it in full screen within CRM.
2) With the cube symbol we can see our installation in 3D. This is very useful to check if the dimensions are correct.
3) The camera allows us to capture an image of our installation and will allow us to do it with different characteristics.
  1. Camera
- Standard: The photo is generated as we see it with the modules we have placed.
- Translucent: The photo is generated only of the modules without the building.
  1. Screenshot
- Download screenshot. By clicking on this section we can download the screenshot taken to our computer.
- Share with CRM: A copy is saved in the CRM: this capture is the one that will be included in any report that must have said screenshot through a variable.
- With modules: The photo is taken with the modules on the roof
- Without modules: The photo is taken without the modules on the roof
- SVG: The screenshot is made in SVG
  1. Autocad: Allows you to transform the drawing in Autocad. You can
- Switch to autocad
- Download screenshot
- Share with crm
- Draw dimensions

4) The settings wheel allows us to customize the experience by changing the default settings of the layout (Project Features, Solar Simulation Settings, Work Area Settings).

Also in the upper left corner we have an information symbol, which shows us very basic operating instructions.

Finally, we have a location symbol in the lower left corner. By clicking on it we can preview the street view of the address we are working on.
