Commercial simulator - Discounts and margins
In this article, we will explain the "Discounts and Margins" tab that we find in the commercial simulator. We will analyze how to create a new discount or margin in case you want to give your salesperson a limited selection of discounts to offer to their customer, and once configured, how it is displayed in the simulator. The "Discounts and Margins" tab is a section of the commercial simulator designed to manage and apply discounts and margins to commercial offers according to sales needs and strategies.
Where can I find this option? → Settings → Commercial simulator → Discounts and margins
Remember that this tab will only be visible if you have permissions activated: commercial simulator and if you have contracted the commercial simulator module How to configure a discount or margin from the commercial simulator?
Like the extras , we can configure the discounts and margins for each type of opportunity.
To create a new discount or margin we must click on "add discount or margin" and then we must fill out the information requested. We fill in the name that we will give to the discount or margin, we must choose the type of opportunity to which we are going to associate it, then select whether it is a discount or a margin that we want to create and finally fill in the value in percentage % that we want to apply and we do click save.
We also find a button that allows us to enable or remove the selection of multiple discounts. The functionality of this is that when the salesperson is creating an offer they can add more than one discount to it.
